Every Buyer has to imagine themselves in your home. Your own quirky tastes, or funny family pics take away from the illusion. Bright walls might need some neutral paint.
Walk through your home with a critical eye. Torn screens? Fix them. Burnt out bulbs? Replace them. You could ask a friend to walk through and point out areas that need repair.
Scale of you furniture and design
You might need to remove oversized furniture. It might be comfy...but if your furniture is oberbearing and takes up too much space. Lighten up! Remove it. You'll see it again when you move. You might need to rearrange to create areas with space.
Be heavy handed. Everything off the counters and then make them sparkle! Store appliances down below. A bowl of brightly colored oranges, lemons etc add some "pop".

Lighting can dramatically changed the feel of a room. Replace dated fixtures. They need not be expensive. A trip to you local hardware store will spruce things up.
